Our parents have this habit telling us “Education is the only inheritance they can give us.”

When I was a kid I used to ask my parents why do I have to go to school when I can get a job anyway even without a degree? (By the way, my dream was to be a cashier in any establishment). I believe that success of one person lies in his own hands.

So, here’s my point. Why do we have to go back to school to obtain a diploma? Since anyway we are already working and earning maybe good money to meet our means.

Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, you do better.”

Here’s the thing: education is not just about earning that diploma. When you decided to invest in yourself, you decided to grow and step up to become a better you! Don’t focus on the paper asset; go after the knowledge that education promised you.

When I enrolled in AMAOEd, I am certain with my goal. It is to be educated. And guess what? The mathematics and computer subjects that I don’t understand why I had to learn when I was still in college? Now, they all make sense. I’m practically using them in my daily job. The unending analysis that nearly made me lose my mind? Now it’s helping me in problem-solving. The theory about human behavior? It also supports me in dealing with the people surrounding me. These are just a few subjects that I am currently taking up. Thanks to AMAOEd who promised to “learn from real-life case studies.”

I now realize the spirit of one of the thousand lectures from my parents whenever I asked for “baon” (allowance). Education is something that only God can take from you. Certificate in Professional Teaching Program (CPT) is a non-degree program that provides knowledge in basic professional education courses. The program includes topics in the principles of the teaching profession, educational technologies, techniques of teaching as well as the measurement, evaluation and practicum in managing and monitoring student learning.

• • 18 Units for Academic Subjects
• • 6 Units for Teaching Practicum (Elementary or High School Only)
• • After finishing from the 24 Units, graduates of the program are qualified to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

Fees:

Every subject costs 2,500.00 plus an admission fee amounting to 1000.00 on top of the total tuition fee.

Example Computation:

(2,500.00 x 3 Subjects (equivalent to 9 Units)) + 1000 Admission Fee = 8,500.00

Fees can also be divided into 2 or 3 terms. But for a LIMITED TIME, those who will enroll sooner, you may avail the 4 / 6 payment scheme OR pay 1,500.00 as your downpayment.

Procedure:

1. 1. The program is open to all graduates of any College Degree Program. Associate Degree graduates or graduates from Technical Vocational Program DOES NOT qualify in the program;
2. 2. Applicants need to accomplish registration through http://portal.amauonline.com/auth/register to generate the Universal Student Number (USN);
3. 3. After registration, choose “Certificate in Professional Teaching Program” on the drop-down list;
4. 4. Upload the scanned copy of the credentials needed as mentioned above;
5. 5. Once credentials have been verified by the Evaluating Team, they shall load subjects on your portal for enrollment;
6. 6. If the subjects has been successfully loaded in the portal, the student applicant may process the enrollment via credit card using the PayPal option in the portal, Bayad Centers or any payment outlets through DragonPay, or Bank Deposit/ Online Banking;
7. 7. After payment has been verified, subjects will be loaded within 24 working hours. Our Admission Associates will be sending you instruction on how to access your modules. Please note that AMA OEd Operation is from 8AM – 5PM, Mondays to Fridays;
8. 8. You are given 14 weeks duration to finish all modules and assessments from the day your subjects were activated.
